Advanced Signaling at Level Crossings: The Elixs Controller on the Roca Line

Abstract

As part of the modernization project for the signaling system on the Roca line (Argentina), Alstom is implementing a new technology by installing level crossing control equipment, which are the focus of this paper.

The ELIXS device, implemented by Alstom, performs the control function for light and sound signaling, as well as barrier activation at level crossings. It also facilitates communication with the interlocking system. This modern and robust equipment offers extensive configuration options and functionalities.
