Abstract

In this interview conducted by the RSO JST magazine team with Lianne Van Der Veen, the safety expert shares her experience and discusses her beginnings, the evolution of the sector, and the challenges ahead. Lianne is a senior maritime accident investigator at the Dutch Safety Board (DSB) and has been the Chair of the Marine Accident Investigators' International Forum (MAIIF) since 2018. She was also a keynote speaker on the second day of the JST Symposium: "Diversity and Safety in Transportation: Resilience through Inclusion."
