Abstract

This paper examines the incidence of fatigue as a contributing factor in the accident involving the fishing vessel Floridablanca IV. Based on an investigation initiated by the Transportation Safety Board (JST) and conducted following a systemic analysis model, fatigue was approached from a multi-causal perspective. It was identified that its origins were not limited to operational factors but were also influenced by specific medical factors.
