Style Guidelines
- Length: No more than 12,000 words (approximately 50 pages in A4 size).
- Title: Arial 14, bold, separated by two spaces from the following text. No period, underlines, or numbering.
- Subtitles: Arial 12, bold, separated by two spaces from the preceding text and one space from the following paragraph. No period, underlines, or numbering.
- Text: Arial 12, left-aligned (not justified).
- Line spacing: 1.5.
- Page size: A4.
- Margins: Word’s default margins (2.5 cm top and bottom, 3 cm left and right).
Structure
- Abstract: Summary of the article. It should be approximately 200 words and written in both English and Spanish.
- Citation system: RSO adheres to the APA guidelines, using the latest available version.
- Keywords: The article must include 5 keywords, separated by commas (in both Spanish and English).
- Conclusions and bibliography: All articles must include these sections, unless they are interviews or reviews, in which case the exception must be justified.
- Author information: All articles must include a separate sheet with a biographical summary of the author, which should include: personal information (email, ORCID number, if available, phone), a brief CV (2-3 paragraphs with key achievements), and institutional/academic affiliation.
Images, Tables, and Graphs
- Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively. It is important that images are placed in the appropriate spot within the text; however, they must also be submitted separately in high quality (PNG or JPG format). The source of the images must be specified, even if they are self-produced.
