Peer review

All RSO articles undergo a double-blind peer review process, meaning that neither the author knows who will review their article, nor the reviewer knows the identity of the author.

We understand the evaluation process as a constructive instance with the central goal of contributing to knowledge production. In this regard, we expect reviewers to not only focus on the technoscientific quality of the work but also to provide significant and well-founded contributions for its improvement, regardless of whether the article is accepted for publication.

The central pillars of our review process are as follows:

  • Originality and importance of the subject matter
  • Consistency and quality of the theoretical approach
  • Relevance and handling of the methodology used in the work
  • Coherence, relevance of the information presented, and quality of the analysis
  • Relevance of the conclusions
  • Relevance and exhaustiveness of the bibliography
